    McCarthy is not hitting his spots very well, but the umpire is also not calling strikes when the pitches are still in the zone. Goldschmidt just inside-outed a pitch the opposite way for a ST HR. That was a hell of a job by him for where that ball was thrown, but that's a flyout in a regular ballpark.

    Settled down and looked a lot better as the inning went on, velocity was 88-91. So well off where he has worked the last two seasons.

    Hill got beat up and didn't get through the second. A lot of groans from the fans on the called balls which sounded aplenty

    Well aside from the poor pitching, and the lack of hitting, and pretty atrocious fielding, the Dodgers looked fine today against the Dbacks.

    So the big solution to Heyward's horrible bat speed is to lower his hands...? so that he has to raise them before even beginning his swing. He looks fucking horrible.

    THANK GOD we had an outfield mess that offseason.
