I don't know about that. I think the giants will have a tough time winning the last game against Kershaw.
No pressure, but I think we can exorcise all the demons if Rich Hill throws a perfect game tonight. Bookend this horrid losing stretch, and get back to dominating.
Hearl Hear! I think that wailing on the SFags would mean a lot, more than it usually does. I'm pretty sure we can do it, too.
Definitely. And since this bad stretch basically started with Rich Hill's blown perfect game, it would be poetic for the Dodgers to clinch while he has a great day on the mound.
I was just looking at the boxscore from yesterday's game against Philly, and that is the most complicated boxscore I have ever seen: 2 center fielders, 2 first basemen, 2 second basemen, 2 third basemen, 3 shortstops, 2 left fielders, 5 pinch hitters, and 7 pitchers.
I'm not happy about that. I kinda wanted us to clinch in Philly on a DBacks loss, 2 hours after the Dodgers had left the field.
About the celebrating? Meh, I think teams should always celebrate division clinchers. Maybe not a “postseason spot” clincher (which the Dodgers didn’t celebrate) but definitely a division clincher. This team needs some good vibes and some fun, and they deserve it. I always enjoy the celebrations.
Ummm...has/does anyone have any info on Justin Turner ??? Pray tell??? And I just assume Corey has something wrong with something, somewhere on his body, and it's serious?
Interesting...and those that exist at the lower depths are highly specialized creatures that we know very little about, generally. I have read that the Deep-sea Angler Fish has among the fastest strikes in nature. Marine biology + baseball = perfect together?
I don't mind being happy and celebrating. I just don't want it to turn comical. It's the NL West. Been there. Done that. As they say, act like you've been there before. It's time we try to take it all the way.
