I honestly think if they don't sign him this year he's gone for good. Just a gut feeling.

well then you must think he's gonna turn down the most money because there isn't anybody that has more money than our ownership group. not even the Yankees.

hopefully the Jim Johnson talk is just to put Wilson on notice that his spot can be filled, so they can get the signing done already. but if i'm Wilson i call that bluff and wait it out. Wilson wants to live in Los Angeles, play for the Dodgers, and beat San Fran more than he wants to be a closer. however, Wilson is no dummy and he knows our ownership could easily give him a League-like contract and not regret it because they have money to burn plus he's way better than League and he's actually marketable to fans...and this is regardless of what League was paid to do because Wilson only cares that he's paid like a closer when it comes to the money.

Or someone assures Ned that either his brains or his signature will be on the contract.

A's are said to be most involved on JJ according to Rosenthal and Dodgers do not expect to land him. Really interested to see what kind deal was being discussed.

I hear you. It worries me too. It's a lot of money that will be going to him. I just hope we can sign him soon. He doesn't like to talk about it during the season, and we have a lot of time before march next year to hopefully make a deal.

Maybe he's just in Africa and has no way to communicate with the team.

Interested to see how the new channel turns out.

I think the Laker channel is kinda lame. Other than extended pre/post and the Backstage show...it's pretty much a bunch of hacks reading tweets and blabbing on about Kobe's will to win.

    I like Nomar.

I hope it's not all in some studio in El Sugundo or some shit. I like the coverage on location at the stadium.

The Dodgers network might end up being the same. There's really only so much you can do with what you have when you can only cover one team.

I suppose they could have replays of past games. They probably (hopefully) have a ton of footage from the past. They'll be talking about certain eras and teams. But they'll probably have the same stuff as what the Lakers have now.

You can't be a real Dodgers fan and hate Gibson, he could drop trou and shit on home plate before a game and it would be ok. I take it you weren't alive in 88.

Even after all this bullshit he's talking, he's Kirk fucking Gibson, he hit the most significant homer in my lifetime.
