    consider the source, but that old saying that there’s always a little truth to what’s said probably applies…

    From TMZ Sports:
    “The woman had blood coming out of her nose following the incident. In addition, the woman also had strangulation marks on her as well as redness on her face. We’re told the woman who was with Urias got upset over him taking photos with female fans … and left early — but as she was walking toward a gate, the Dodgers star came up from behind her, put his arm around her, slammed her against a fence, and pulled her hair.”​

    An entourage with Urias reportedly broke up the incident at that time but further altercations are alleged to have taken place as he and the woman looked to leave the area.​

    Up to now I was thinking he'd serve a long suspension, and then some team would say what the hell and ink him to a club-friendly contract.

    But IF (big "if") this is true, coupled with his previous history, he's done. This seems worse to me than what Bauer (allegedly) did. Again, if this account of the events becomes accepted as fact - whether or not it's accurate - no team is going to want to deal with the negative publicity that would come from rostering him.

    Yeah, she probably overreacted to the photo with fans thing, but there is no justification for this. He's a major douche and for once the baseball gods were kind to us, in that this didn't happen with years left on his contract ala Bauer.

    I get the jist of what you wrote, but I've gotta take"for once the baseball gods were kind to us"with a good dose of skepticism. Half stepping at best. If you're gonna be kind, don't have 4/5 of the starting staff in Hades.
    Guess it's all in the eye of the beholder, like beauty. Losing the money on a long term signing to me is way less serious than losing a pitcher on the post season hill who it's possible (at certain times ) can be flat out dominant, imo.
    Just my tuppence.
    I definitely feel this is worse than the old requested (?) cunt punch from Bauer on a psycho rough trade whorebot though...no doubt.

    can't erase him from history but if that stuff is true (which i think it is since it was almost exactly like the initial reports) then fuck him going forward
    just a guess but i think he is probably one of those ugly dudes that suddenly has riches and wants to flaunt it in womens faces
    he can be that guy but not punch his woman guy
    probably learned it from papa using mama as a punching bag since that's usually how it works

    I'm not going to trivialize this, but what Bauer has been accused of doing is worse. But if we are being absolutely honest here, MLB doesn't actually give a shit about any of this stuff, they only pretend to. Bauer is only out of the league because he's a jackass that pissed all of the wrong people off even before his allegations. The allegations just gave them all a reason for them to (likely) blackball him.
