Much ado about what has turned into nothing. Callaspo. Smh. Nerds, please. Clayton just needs to win this game tonight. At least hold off the rampaging SFags. Gotta win these games first. Is anyone tired of the "quaking in our cleets"( or whatever they call them now)BS about the upcoming Cardinal series? Finooks.
Braves, Dodgers Re-Open Callaspo/Uribe Trade Talks By Steve Adams [May 26, 2015 at 8:50pm CDT] Trade talks between the Dodgers and Braves regarding Alberto Callaspo and Juan Uribe“are back on,” reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports (on Twitter). Callaspo has already been pulled from the lineup by the Braves, suggesting that the six-player trade could be taking shape. The two sides were believed to be putting together a similar trade last night, but Callaspovetoed the trade earlier this morning. As a player that signed as a free agent just this offseason, Callaspo cannot be traded prior to June 15 without his consent. That discussions are back on would suggest that Callaspo has had a change of heart. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/05/braves-dodgers-re-open-callaspouribe-trade-talks.html
it's done..so says Rosendouche Ken RosenthalVerified account@Ken_Rosenthal Deal between #Braves and #Dodgers is done pending approval of commissioner’s office. Callaspo waived right to reject any trade before 6/15.
Damn sucks to see Uribe go but I trust the FO that the return for him was worth it. Hopefully we get the full details soon and this leads to a nice trade for a SP at some point.
it does suck to see him go. i guess the return is secondary to me..i just see it more as opening up that side of the infield for better options in Olivera and Seager. but sure i'd like a return consistent with what they've been able to do in their previous trades. i know that's unfair because it's only Uribe..oh well..i'm spoiled.
Bye, Uribe. I'll miss him, which is crazy to say after those awful 2011 and 2012 seasons. But he turned into a decent player and a great clubhouse guy, who all his teammates loved.
9:58pm: The Braves will get a pitching prospect — possibly either Zach Lee or Chris Anderson — if the trade is approved, reports MLB.com’s Mark Bowman (via Twitter). That’s a surprising pair of names to be linked to this trade, as both are highly regarded. Though Lee’s stock is down after some rough performances, he was formerly one of the Dodgers’ top prospects and ranks in their 10-15 range per MLB.com and Baseball America, while Fangraphs pegged him ninth. Anderson, on the other hand, ranks fifth on MLB.com’s list, sixth per Fangraphs and seventh per BA.
We better be getting a prospect back in return or decent ish major leaguer (no Cahill is not that) if we're sending a prospect to Atlanta.
10:36pm: Stults is warming in the Braves’ bullpen as the two teams play each other, tweetsDavid O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Clearly, that indicates that he’s not in the trade, as the Braves certainly wouldn’t risk him incurring an injury and jeopardizing the deal.
