Almost joined the HR party there Nobody could've predicted his slump, guy's a good established hitter, still gonna get around 3/4yrs and 40/50MM after this season Maybe a little more, depends
I wouldn't mind him back if he shows signs down the stretch here... solid, if not unspectacular player
Unless the choke of all chokes occurs in the 9th, the Dodgers gained 12 games on the Giants in the standings without Clayton Kershaw making 1 start.
Still only 29, he'll end up playing like the back of his baseball card again unless he just falls apart physically. LAD has a lot going on with their corner OF spots tho, so tough call
LAD may end up having a 30-30-30 HR trio, Corey/JT/Yaz With Adrian and Joc both going 20+ Matt who? Hanley what?
career slash is .253 .315 .429 .744 been wildly inconsistent every season he has hit home runs only twice, once 32 and another time 20 the year he hit 32 and had nice SLG his other numbers were abysmal .242 .305 .463 .768 the year he hit 20 was his best overall full season .272 .333 .449 .781 those were the only two seasons where he had over 400 at bats two seasons over 500, two in the 300s, two in the 200s and his two cups of coffee and while he hit .296 .368 .449 .816 one year he only had 240 at bats the other time he hit well was his breakout year .280 .327 .457 .784 but that year he only had 250 at bats he has been in the league for 8 years, first two were just a cup of coffee, the other 6 years he has only managed to play a full season twice he is injury prone and goes on the DL for a good chunk nearly every season and he is strictly a platoon player that is abysmal against lefties he needs to go to a team that has a good backup in case of injury and platoon option against lefties like the dodgers with yasiel 12/13 million a year for 3 or 4 years sounds like the right type of numbers
he was injured before the trade been hot the last 7 games so hopefully his hand is healed and he can be great for us in the postseason
