All I know about Stephen A. Smith is that he likes to yell everything, because if you yell it, it must be true. I got the take about Kershaw being more rested, but not sure what he was rambling about after that. He said something about not liking the way Mattingly handled Kershaw and that's why Kershaw was tired in the past... I don't know how Mattingly handled Kershaw differently than any other manager would. He also said something about Kershaw still needing to beat Bumgarner? Whatever that means. In the season? Been done a hundred times. In the postseason? Well, maybe if the Giants were any good we'd face them. Or just beat Bumgarner's postseason stats? I don't know. And then something about Game 5 but not Game 7? Rambling. But yeah, Smith seems to enjoy yelling more than knowing anything, doesn't really matter what sport it is.
he's tight with joe west [shocker] and for whatever reason west has clout he's the perfect joe west protege... self-righteous, combative, mercurial, dictatorial... and just really bad at his job

Man, when I don't want Kershaw to pitch on short rest, they pitch him on short rest. When I want him to pitch on short rest, they don't pitch him on short rest. But I'm done second guessing the FO. Whatever gets our ass into the WS.
If we win tonight, omg. I don't even know what I'll do. Being one win away from the WS would make this too real.
Overreactions. So common. So unnecessary. Early in yesterday's game, Hill and Grandal were being vilified on this board. By the end of the game, they were both put up on pedestals. Now I read some comments declaring the Cubs finished. Why? One more win by them puts home field advantage back on their side. It's way too early to start celebrating. Keep an even keel my friends. Your psyche will thank you later.
I think the comments declaring the Cubs finished were from misunderstanding of an @LASports96 post. I don't think anyone thinks this is over.
definitely way too early in fact, even if we were up 3-0 it would be too early you can't count anyone out, least of all a 100+ win team they can get hot at a moments notice and you don't want to kick a sleeping giant
