I don't know, in the minors he was hitting 2 bombs per night... I guess no one could hit that spot regularly.
He just missed a bomb the other night Just missed 2-5, instead of the 0-5 He also just missed a golden sombrero tho too
Yeah, Adrian looks done. I think the front office thinks so too. The vast majority of Bellinger's starts in the minors were at 1B. He's playing the OF now because of immediate need, but it's clear they have him pegged for 1B and maybe sooner than we realize.
He just missed a bomb on a broken bat. The power in his swing is undeniable, he'll probably put one in the DS parking lot before he's done. I don't mind seeing him take his lumps in the majors for a spell... our "depth" seems to be only waist deep ATM.
Hey it's not ideal but looking at the alternatives for regular playing time it has to be here IMHO. A son of a ex-player knows only to take lessons from this experience and not get down on himself if that is what you are concerned about.
was thinking he might be pressing and once he settles down he could get in a groove at that point adrian becomes completely obselete
Replacing Adrian's immigrant labor with an American worker? This is the most racist post I've seen... ...since yesterday
Idk...all this psychological application to this kid and the fanciful what he "almost got" while AB is pretty much desperation in explaining the whiff after whiff. Sure he hit it a ton and broke his bat, but how excited can you get over a foul? I hope he turns into a great slugger for us, but the hole in the swing is huge, in the Show especially...this kid Arroyo has a much better approach, imo. Little douche. I think everyone knows Bellinger is powerful, don't they? Not fair, I'm sure, but he seems to have a Joc approach to his AB...and overall, considering where Joc is now with his ABs after 3 seasons, that's not all that great. Maybe after a couple of laser beam hits, he'll be fine. Lots of " he's done/old man" shit towards Agon, and maybe he is, but Cody is a long way away from being what Adrian was. The kid doesn't need he pressure right now, either.
Puig for Braun isn't happening IMHO. Not because of my like for Yasiel because the Brewers have 3 stud outfielders in their system. Lewis Brinson (rated #1) is at AAA (dislocated finger at the moment) and Corey Ray and Trent Clark are in A ball now but are rated #2 and #6 in their system. They are going to want pitching in return for Braun IF they even want to be rid of him.
I am guessing they wanted someone who can step in and somewhat replace Braun while lowering their financial commitment. Puig fits the bill while still being arguably a high prospect caliber talent/age. Like what Villar is if he wasn't coming off his best season.
I get that specs get traded but why trade in a position that is a strength, they have many more holes than in their OF. Who knows why they claimed Puig but remember last year he wasn't as mature as he is perceived to be now.
