Put me in the group that never thought Morrow was coming back.
    Colome/Archer, please.

What is this FO trying to accomplish here? One step forward then one step back. We’re walking in place.

Preferably high ceiling types like Colome/Archer, Rivero/Cole, or Vizcaino/Teheran
Vizcaino is damn electric, still probaby some upside, AA would be helping us a ton there

We’re losing a valuable relief setup guy. We can’t go into this season with Baez as one of our options.

And yes, SP is an issue since we can’t seem to rely on any of them in the post season.

After getting so close, I hope the FO isn’t satisfied with second place.

I’d be down for all three of those, preference in the order you put them

Imagine a deal like that and signing Darvish? We’d actually be better than last year.

They'd probably have a massive fight for the 4th spot in the postseason rotation if everybody stays healthy.

The Cubs potentially poaching Morrow is a much more serious issue than Stanton or Ohtani

Our bullpen is fucking horrendous right now

    and more...

    Phil Rogers ✔@philgrogers
#Cubs seem likely to pursue #Rays closer Alex Colome and ace Chris Archer.
Getting both would take a monster return, however. It's going to be a fun week
    at Winter Meetings.

    ugh
    • The Cubs will sign Brandon Morrow to a contract worth $10-$11MM per year, according to Jon Heyman. It’s a two-year accord with an option for 2020, Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports tweets. The deal is pending a physical.
    what, we couldn't offer that???

Finally have my power restored!!!!! Given Morrow's volatile injury history they probably were hesitant, it's a blow for sure but let's see who we add.

This is extremely disappointing. It’s easy to forget but he was about our most important and best pitcher, including Kenley, in the postseason

Kenley Jansen, Yu Darvish, and Clayton Kershaw do their job and none of this hurts nearly as much.

There was news that the Cubs were pissed at underperforming this past season and that they would very aggressive in the off season.

They seem to have kept their word thus far.

The Dodgers blow a couple of games in the WS and so far sounds like it’s business as usual for the FO. If they have a plan, it must the double secret probabtion plan.

I am as hurt as anyone about losing in the WS but can we put it to rest already? We sucked we lost we aren't champs.

Wade Davis, Bryan Shaw and Greg Holland are available both are a year younger than Brandon Shaw is 2 years younger. This is a reach but Baez with a pitch clock who knows what he can do. Kenta is an option too if we sign a starter or 2.

They’d have to trade like Schwarber, and Happ. All of their good specs have graduated
