I looked it up, and I found 2 other games we won after being down by 2+ runs, one against the Braves and one against the DBacks. Both before that Rockies game, 23 games and 14 losses ago.
And we have incredible depth at the position. An obp guy who can play multiple positions. A legit power hitter. 2 other all around good prospects. And of course there is still AJ. Yet Grandal doesnt catch the hell that gets thrown at Puig. Once grandal has a good stretch they should deal him for a reliever.
2 is the new 3 for many modern FO analysts. All about maximizing at bats for your best players to get the most production for the money. Of course like in all things the perfect is the enemy of the good. When trying to oversqueeze ever last drop of the lemon and use as little sugar as possible you end up with bitter lemonade. In the zeal for efficienct perfection the little nuancea are eventually forgotten. Like how you add the ice cubes last because room temperature liquids sweeten better than cold. That you add the lemon after you add the sugar to the water because it takes less lemon to acidify sweet water than when you have to sweeten acid water. And that a pinch of salt while seemingly ass backwards makes lemonade sweeter and tastier. Stats are great but they are better for accounting purposes. Its whats left of things when the true information is lost to time. Its why we keep a hall of records and fame. But the true knowledge is not in the stats but in the holy old time spirit of the game. And that is like in the secret to the very basic lemonade and in most all these time tested things... Science. Problem is that new experts look at scientists and just see tired old men. When experts rule the world there is no chemistry left for the alchemists to do their magic.

turns out that was too lofty as well no hits from the 5th inning on went down in order 3 of the last 4 innings, our only protest an 8th inning walk way to fight back guys
The Angels suck though. And yes, I'm aware we just got our asses kicked by them. Moreno is the man responsible for their failures more than anyone. He wanted to get marketshare when the Dodgers were down and he splurged on a bunch of players to big contracts.
