RIP the great Whitey Ford, the greatest pitcher the Yankees ever had and that's saying something.

Been losing too many greats lately......Gibson, Brock, Seaver, Kaline and now Whitey.

When I think Whitey Ford I think of the '63 Series. Frank Howard took him into the second deck down the LF line at Dodger Stadium in game 4 (the clincher). It was the first HR hit into that part of the stadium. In game 1 at Yankee Stadium Howard hit a 457 ft double to the monuments in dead CF.

Koufax outdueled Ford in both games of the sweep.

Congrats to the Rays, the final team to punch their ticket to theLCS. They only did it against the team with the highest payroll and the most championships in MLB history... oh wait... damn.

Happy for Tampa, but I wonder... who would've been the tougher opponent for the Asterisks, they or Yanks?

Welp, totally forgot about the Yanks/Rays game and since I am no longer twittering, I’m becoming more detached from society. Anyway, I see Aaron Boone has not learned the “DO NOT THROW CHAPMAN MORE THAN AN INNING” lesson. Jesus, the Rays better fucking rape those asterisk sons of bitches.

    Re: baseball gods...
It is fulfilling to an ancient as myself, that a cosmic justice of sort, is paid to guys like Chapman and Machado/ Tatis, Jr., for their past behaviors. It makes a bit of an argument for karma, even though there's no such thing. We all know of course.
But there is one more...One more to finally balance the scales. The actors are all poised in position precariously to possibly make it happen, indeed. Tantalizing.
We'll see what fate decrees as the third act to this epic...
