this quote kinda tells me “it’s closer by committee but I gotta talk to the players and Jansen first”

There's a reason he hasn't pitched much. He's not very good.

Hm wonder why they aren’t clear on Gonsolin going game 3?

I’m guessing they’re thinking about Tony vs. Julio and maybe going with an opener. Lots of relievers haven’t pitched (Baez, McGee, Floro, Kolarek) and Victor barely pitched Monday.

Yeah, that was it I think. It HAS to be Graterol's 9th now. I don't like Treinen in the 9th only cause he is soo valuable in that Morrow role.

Ima also guess Treinen, Kenley, and Graterol are down tomorrow which means offense needs to put up numbers

Padres are starting Morejon, a young lefty who is pretty good and we gotta battle against

The Dodgers will close it out tomorrow. Why? Because they haven't lost in these playoffs when the play the same day as the Lakers and the Lakers haven't lost on the same day the Dodgers play. Not only that the Lakers are wearing the Black Mamba uniforms and they haven't lost in those in the playoffs. book it.

Graterol threw 7 pitches, should be able to get us an inning.

ah see here i thought it was the suspension and the injury that kept him out
not a huge fan of the man but he's a gamer w iron balls and still scares hitters at least
89 mph fluttering bullshit isn't going to close a game and that was disgusting pathetic managing
after the brilliant play of the team and good calls during the game he risks it on fuck all

I like Treinen's experience. Graterol was a Bellinger catch away from coughing up the lead. That said, I love the way he cruised through a one-two-three inning after that.

I kinda feel same about Graterol though. I think he and Treinen gotta be used earlier for ground ball situations cause Brusdar still doesn’t get Strikeouts. I think you play it day by day matchup by matchup, all dependent on who is coming up. You use McGee or Victor in some, Treinen and Graterol for others, and even Baez for some dudes. For example I thought they matched up Treinen and Graterol great today, used them perfectly but then the Jansen matchup was completely awful

Bullpen game.... Guess they felt they got enough from Davies and the pen tonight to reset before going to Pollock for a game 4.

It’s gotta be Gonsolin, right? He’s owned them this year. An ERA under 1 against the Padres. The guy hasn’t pitched yet this postseason.

Lost in all the 9th inning hysteria was that the Dodger bats finally looked to be breaking out up and down the lineup. Most everyone contributing.

Also a solid game from Kershaw. Only blip was the pitch to Hosmer. Manny hit a good pitch.

Underrated play of the game was the double steal. Just as important as the Bellinger goal tending catch.

If by some chance the Dodgers do something special this year, we'll be seeing this for years. Probably will anyway.
