Absolutely...another mystery non-move by DBB. It seems like his approach to things, to individual situations, change mid-stream...and that just don't work. I try and try, but I don't get the guy. He made a great move with Capuano taking his washed-up ass out, then most of the rest of it all was mysterious. He seemed to know a ecret no one else did the night before with those confusing moves taking out Ethier, inserting Herrera, Victo to LF, etc. And he came out looking like a genius. Didn't look too smart last night though. It'll always be the way. It's the Dodgers. We just aren't winners.
I really hope the Cards win tonight. Just to get SOME of the could have been thoughts out of my head.
thing that annoys me is watching us do everything we can to at least try and win that game. pinch runners, pitching changes etc. seems to me the game should be played like that everyday.
I am rooting for the O's. I am also rooting for the NHL lockout to be OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not really, cuz they probably will send their bench to play... they need to rest their roided regulars for the postseason...
I'm rooting for the Nats now (sort of, as I feel dirty rooting for other team)... I hate the Braves, Reds, Gnats and now Cards...
Almost a day later and I'm still not over it. I was really looking forward to coming home and watching a meaningful game 162. Fuck.....
I think it would've been nice for Mark Ellis to get a standing O in his first AB tonight. Maybe they'll do it when Don hopefully takes out the regulars during an inning for them all to get some cheers. But Mark probably feels awful and he doesn't deserve to go down like that after playing his heart out all year. Give him a standing O fans.
It's kind of annoying though. Beat a couple horrible teams and then immediately lose a series against a good one. Great for our moral closing the year.
i have no idea what you mean... I only remember him running himself into an out and hitting the last out of our elimination game...
I was at the game...with my head in my hands for 5 minutes after he got thrown out. I think I know the pain. Ellis was an idiot there. Inexcusable. But he was busting his ass trying to do something good. It was dumb. I was speechless. But that's not all I remember him for this season. Kemp against Barry Zito with RISP, failing every time on pathetic ABs warrants some hate. Not Ellis coming up short against Romo. "I have no idea what you mean"...sure you do. You don't agree with me. That's all cool. But Ellis has been glue for us all season and the fans should let him know, 'Hey, we know what you've done for us all year. And we appreciate it. A couple mental mistakes doesn't change that'. jmo
