    , bkitches.

Caddied for a father/son this morning, stopped by the beer store for a IPA sixer, and home to the family. My son gave me the Breaking Bad complete set and I watched some of the Open while downing a couple. Cooked hamburgers on the grill for me & the wife (son's a vegan, eff him), walked the dogs, and now it's time for Dodger baseball. Not a bad day.

If you're a dad I hope you enjoyed your day, if not I hope you either honored your father or thought of him. My dad was a WWII vet who passed in 2007. As a telegraph lineman in the 375th infantry he won 3 Bronze Stars (go figure) and wouldn't ever speak of his service other than two stories that were somewhat humorous. Honestly, I was never aware of his decorations until I made his funeral arrangements, for which I had to request his service record, he never spoke of any acts of valor. My dad was a rock and I learned my work ethic from watching his, and I'll be forever grateful for the lessons he taught me.

    Happy Fathers Day.

The most meaningless holiday ever. Honestly had no clue today was fathers day until I heard other people talking about it.

Happy Father's Day guys. I had a wonderful family day. Hope everyone had a great one.

This is the first year I didn't play baseball. Felt weird but glad I stayed home with the fam. They usually suffer in the heat to watch dad play ball.

To the guy who calls this a meaningless Holliday your a douche.

    Cheers bkitches

Happy Father's Day to you fathers on this board as well. I was able to golf with my son for the first time today so it was an extra special Father's Day for me.

    My dad is deceased.

So I chilled with my girl whose dad is in DC. We drank JalapeƱo margaritas and soaked up the sun by her place, then hung with a buddy at his bar. Very relaxing day.

Wow . I'm sure he has his reasons. Don't judge. Unless he's homo, a giants fan, ducks fan or lover of musicals.

regardless of his reasoning he shouldn't have posted that. Someone took the time to create a thread & share his great day with family only to see a response of it being meaningless...

I'm not surprised that you are getting in the middle of it either. Always the instigator there bud.

I read the other stuff and everyone has a life so se la vie already. First year without my old man... it is what it is... ooblahdi ooblahdah

Total Hallmark manufactured holiday we agree but... so sweet when your daughter gives you a big sweet hug and says "Happy Father's Day daddy"... heart to butter in 3.. 2.. 1

And I got to watch the Dodgers win with some actual offense

Rather a good day all in all

    on this we absolutely agree
my dad used to take me to games all the time
now he's no longer ambulatory enough to even go to a game
    makes me sad
but i'm so thankful for the all memories... koufax, drysdale, the '74 world sries, garvey/lopes/cey/russell, fernando...
stoked for you and your dad lasports
    i know you and i don't always see eye-to-eye
but it seems like you've got your priorities in order
    you're a good son
