anybody hating on ned right now can suck it
ned = dadmau5
Classless to celebrate in a pool, eh?
For anyone with MLBTV, the Dodger broadcast does almost the whole after match celebrations.
So fucking good to win.
unlike 08 and 09 this one feels like the real deal. i really can't imagine how intense this is about to get. yes i can. i was fully invested from a boy and had the good fortune of the mid and late 70s fails as well as 81 and 88. nothing better than really being in it. i think we might just have the right mixture to bring it home.
fuck how awesome is this?
Hmmm, you didn't feel good about our chances in 08 and 09? I honestly can't remember how I felt, except thinking that Manny was going to carry us. I think I'm more confident this time though.
Yeah I was watching on MLBTV and was pleasantly surprised how long they kept the celebration going... I think they just shut off until first commercial break after the final out
I feel our pitching is much better than 09.
I thought we would ride the Manny train all the way to a title in 08.
no i didn't think we were the most talented team on the block. i thought we could do it like any team in Oct if the pieces fell in place but this time feels different to me.
Randy Wolf started game 1 of the playoffs in 2009. Derek Lowe in 2008. No doubt we are in better shape this time around.
and in 2008 we were pretty heavy underdogs, I'd say, against a very good Cubs squad. I thought the same in 2009... I mean, Randy Wolf/a vverryy young Kershaw vs. Carpenter/Wainright?
Man, it was fun though. But this year we'll be the favorites in every series if we're healthy... Fuck, it's gonna be insanity but I can't wait
I think the injuries or injury risks worry me most. Actually the only obviously risky one that will kill us is Hanley IMO.
The bullpen is struggling a bit but I think the management will figure out the bullpen situation in time. The fact Don used Wilson as the 8th inning guy instead of Paco or Beli was pretty telling that Honeycutt and Don know what's up.
This is far and away the best rotation we've had into the post season since 1988 and maybe better.
I don't know about that...The Tigers have the rotation and bats we do, maybe more. I'm still worried about St.Lo for some unknown reason. I think it's the red uniforms remind me of Philly or something because we've made short work of St.Lo before.
I still don't see how ATL is the best(record) right now. Is it because their division is weaker than the Central?
That image of the team gaining on AGon makes me laugh everytime.
You're right, shoulda said any opponent in the NL
in 2008 i thought we were going all the way
but in retrospect we were pretty much a one-manny show
now we are definitely much more balanced
and i've never seen a team get along so well
the closest was 1988 and...
trying not to get too hyped -- still a long ways to go
but like wallach said on the post game show...
i like our chances against anyone
Yep the chemistry of this team seems really good. A lot of likable guys having fun with each other is huge. A great mix of ages and backgrounds.
Hairston simply can not make the playoff roster. The guy is shit. Young looking like a good option off the bench IMO.
Dbacks lost a 9 game lead in the division after talking about teaching our rooks "how to play the game". This coming after finger wagging and shit talking when they were in 1st.
Fuck yo pool.
:26 "I hope they get hurt"
"Yeah no shit right?"
"I hope they get fucken hurt!"
Lmao, you can hear them crying!! HAHAHAHA!
Yeah I feel the same way. A couple years ago, it was cool just getting to the NLCS, now it feels like we should expect that and more.
