    • Andrew Friedman says decisions to use Max Scherzer and Julio Urías as relievers were made by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts and his staff.

In regards to CT I think it would be smart to come in first and aggressive with an offer that says we want you

Really glad Friedman separated himself from Roberts on those atrocious decisions. Too bad the only way to fire Roberts without public backlash would be to replace him with an African American Transgender liberal.

Don't know about a III, but Al's son Jimmy was a short timer with the Dodgers. Looks like he swung a fork better than he swung a bat.

Yep. I may have that card myself. Guy makes me look like Twiggy.

(waits while whelp posters here Google Twiggy)

As for fatties, Joe Ferguson & Olmedo Saenz might be solid coaches now ... each knew his way around a dinner plate.

    he said, he said
if roberts was thinking he get support for his inexplicable decisions, he was mistaken
and then there's his selfish whining about not yet having a contract extension only days after the team was eliminated
is this the beginning of the end for him?
he could point to his team's track record and, if all else fails, use his ethnicity card as leverage
imo scherzer walks if roberts is still at the helm
and don't be surprised if it's to the giants
    rock the vote bkitches
    • Dave Roberts said the decision to go with a reliever in Game 5 of the NLDS instead of 20-game winner Julio Urias came down from the "tippy-top" of the organization. Roberts said he has a seat at the table when those kinds of decisions are made, but that's all. He then added, "I do not get more than one vote. No, I don't. I don't."

personally, i think he should be fired
but i doubt they'll do it because of the fear of backlash
    which begs another question...
if roberts was white, would he have already been fired?

If Roberts were white, he never would have been hired in the first place.

Voted yes on accident. No way they fire him.

If they do and hire a toxic patriot with problematic opinions I'll be back on board.

Yasiel Puig settles sexual assault lawsuit, wants to return to MLB in 2022
by Chris Cwik | Yahoo! Sports — 4 hours ago

    :puiglove: <-- rube

Former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig settled his sexual assault lawsuit Friday. Puig released a statement confirming he paid his accuser and wants to return to MLB in 2022.

Puig was sued for sexual battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and false imprisonment last October. The alleged assault occurred at a Los Angeles Lakers game in 2018.

The woman, who went by Jane Doe in the lawsuit, claimed Puig tried to take off the woman's clothes and touch her sexual organs in the bathroom at a Lakers game. The woman then said she was forcibly pinned by Puig, who exposed himself and reportedly started masturbating.

Puig did not deny having a sexual encounter with the woman, but claimed it was consensual.

Puig said he wanted to take the issue to court, but that a trial would not have happened until at least May 2022 or later. Puig said he did not want that to affect the 2022 MLB season, causing him to settle.

Puig, 30, has not played in the majors since the 2019 season with Cleveland. He hit .267/.327/.458, with 24 home runs. After sitting on the free-agent market most of the offseason, Puig signed with the Atlanta Braves just before the start of the 2020 season. He tested positive for COVID-19 before joining the team, and the deal was nullified.

The lawsuit was brought against Puig days after the 2020 World Series. He did not sign with a team for the 2021 MLB season. Puig spent the year in the Mexican League, where he hit .312/.409/.517, with 10 home runs.

Trevor Bauer thinks Puig should have punched her instead.
