    • “It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see JT head into coaching and be a big league manager. And, of course, I feel like it would be for the Dodgers.” — CT3

maybe upper mgmt finally realized what a dullard roberts is and that’s why friedman & co decided to chop payroll instead of throwing money down the drain again

No, and I WILL argue those Braves teams weren't as deep. On paper, 1-9 the Dodgers had no weak links. No soft spots for the opposing pitchers to pitch around others to get to. On paper. Of course, we know in reality there were soft spots. But they still won more games than any NL team in 100 years. And they went into the playoffs thinking that all they had to do was show up. Roberts thought that too, as evidenced by his comments about the Padres playing with more intensity. I think Davey figured, he guaranteed a championship, so it would just happen. Because, you know, that's how Pat Riley and Joe Namath and others did it, right?

That's last year. More importantly, what do the Dodgers have to show for years' worth of stacked rosters and Roberts leadership? One championship in a 60-game season. HUGE MISSED OPPORTUNITY. One can only blame the players for so long. At some point, how can it possibly not come back to the manager?

But he'll get another extension. And probably a statue.

If the Dodgers pathetic offseason moves are all supposed to be justified by a future acquisition of Ohtani, they'd better get busy. Correa signing with the Twins means that the Mets will be big pursuers of Ohtani. Also, I can't see the Angels keeping him all season just to see him walk as a FA - they're going to trade him and whoever gets him will extend.

I say this every time it looks like he's getting signed: I'm just glad he's off the table with no chance Dodgers sign him. I'm really down on our team at the moment, but it would be so much worse if we were heading into the season with that cocksucker wearing Dodger Blue.

Machado is 100% going to the Mets next offseason if the Padres don't find a way to lock him up

Dodgers really bout to get Bauer back & get Correa on the cheap. The Soft Dodger fans are gonna jump ship to the Padres. Hopefully that Chapman rumor wasn’t bullshit.

    That was Kershaw's no-hitter.

Like Rojas as an insurance policy if Lux falls flat on his face at SS.

    Solid pickup.

Yes, solid. If he gets enough playing time, he'd max out in overall WAR somewhere between 2 and 3. A far cry from Trea, but we knew we weren't going to replace that bat. Defensively, he'd be an upgrade over last year, but in a perfect scenario Lux comes out swinging and owns the position all year.

Amaya was our #15 prospect on FanGraphs, was not in our top ten on Baseball America's list, and not top-25 on Baseball Prospectus. We have three other shortstops in the system who seem to be ranked higher, although they're all in Low-A or High-A while Amaya is in AAA, so who knows. I guess for an insurance policy, it was worth giving up Amaya, but I'm still hoping we mostly see Lux because his bat potentially plays much bigger.

^ yeah i was thinking Lux stays and second and Rojas is the ss
this squad can still win the division and get lined up for a first round exit under equity man
