I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but fuck it, what's your prediction for when we will clinch the division title? I want to be at that game if its at Dodgers stadium. The issue is that they're on a longish road trip before finishing up at home. This means if they win the division at home, assuming it doesn't come all the way at the end, it would have to be the series against the Giants (which would be fucking sweet), but that starts with 17 games left and ends with 13 games left. So we need to be up around 14 games presumably at that point. So we'd have to gain about 7 more games on the Dbacks or whoever else is tailing us within the next month. Obviously very plausible, especially since we're playing the Dbacks the series prior to that. What day you guys think this is gonna happen?
That's a little too late. We're up by 7.5 and the debacles play a murderous schedule, the cockies have a similar schedule to us, they could make a move but they're 13 back. I think we pull away in the next 2 series and clinch sept 9th vs the debacles. We could be up by 12 games in the next 9 games.
Now that the Dodgers are clicking and winning what are the odds Wallach gets to manage another ballclub? I'd hate to lose him and was actually hoping Don would get fired and Wallach put in his place but then we started winning. Rumor has it Wallach might end up in Washington.
like wallach as well would suck if he left but i wouldn't blame him if a managing opportunity came up elsewhere...
