If it's liked by Reps then it's corporation friendly. Not a stretch. :D

If the package ends up being complete trash (it may already be. Fair enough), is there a point we should be okay with no package at all?

    You need both.
Need to keep the corporations healthy so they don't shed workers.
But if you just give it all to the corporations, a bunch of people will be fucked.

Need to keep money flowing to people that can't work.
But if you give it all to workers, then companies will go out of business and those same workers will lose their jobs. Everyone will be fucked.

It would be nice for people to have jobs to go back to when this is over. Have to help corporations to some degree

    First the people.
The jobs can be protected later.
    First the food.
The asshole can be wiped later.
    Priorities.

    James Clyburn (D-SC) to reporters:
"(The coronavirus bill) is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision"

I mean, what else do we need? It's about them.

What we will have is a new world order.
    Capitalism is going caput.
    Off with it's cephalic membrane.
    Socialism is coming hard.
We need to head it off at the pass.
Before we end up with a rock under our cap.

Commander Communism is here to help.
    really Captain Americana in disguise.
But shhhh don't tell the younglings.
As they are trained to hate their dark father in favor of their red headed step mother.

Dems are reaching no doubt about it but I'm hoping they will come to their senses and pass the bill. Having said that you damn well Mitch is trying to use the situation sneak shit past people. Can't trust that sorry excuse for a human being.

From November 2019: While Mitch McConnell claims the House is only focused on impeachment, there are scores of critical bills sitting on his desk sent to him by the House Democratic Majority. Among them are:• H.R. 1 – For The People Act – Sent to the Senate 239 days ago.• H.R. 8 – Bipartisan Background Checks Act – Sent to the Senate 248 days ago.• H.R. 7 – Paycheck Fairness Act – Sent to the Senate 220 days ago.• H.R. 1585 – VAWA Reauthorization Act – Sent to the Senate 212 days ago.• H.R. 9 – Climate Action Now Act – Sent to the Senate 184 days ago.• H.R. 5 – Equality Act – Sent to the Senate 169 days ago.• H.R. 6 – Dream and Promise Act – Sent to the Senate 151 days ago.• H.R. 582 – Raise the Wage Act – Sent to the Senate 107 days ago.

He's been quoted as saying he will make the congress a legislative graveyard so when you cite articles about what the dems are obviously doing wrong don't think for one damn minute he has our best interest at heart.

    I dont care.
Why do you care about old shit right now?
Tell me what he is doing wrong right now instead.
What horrible things is he putting in the bill?
What is he trying to sneak by?
Or are you just spreading misinformation?
These are not attacks on you btw, they are rhetorical questions.
I expect the best from people like you.
Because a truth out of place and out of time is just a pretext for any and all type of lie.

Cocaine Mitch is a POS and the Dems have the right to push an agenda, I suppose.
I think the question is if NOW is the time for them to push that agenda? To battle with Republicans over issues that do not pertain economic relief?
    I say no.
I say you pass something quickly to address this temporary situation and labor over the other issues at the appropriate time.
The urgency of the situation should encourage collaboration, not political games.

I don't know if it was an op-ed, but I saw an excerpt from The New York times praising Joe Biden's leadership during the Coronavirus and brutally criticizing Trump.

Where do they come up with this stuff?

Say whatever you want about Trump. Disagree with every policy he's tried to enact. Hate on his personality. Whatever. But the one thing that is indisputable... The corrupt media is the enemy of the people.

We shared season tickets at Dodger Stadium from 2006 through 2017. Loge 126 Row A Seats 1-4 for the first several years. In 2016, we got switched to Row B a few sections over. We sat behind a guy who read newspapers the entire game. New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Los Angeles times...I can't believe there are human beings out there that are willing to actually purchase those newspapers and read them. There's no information, and no pleasure. I don't get it.

    Very good!
Rich, secular humanist jewish fellow in his 60s who looked like Charlie Steiner and managed to know even less than Charles about baseball.

It used to be as simple as the media is sensational because that's what we pay attention to.
    That's what we click on.
That's the channel we stay tuned into.
Maybe it's just amplified now. Possibly so.
But I think there is something far deliberate and precise about who they go after (and how hard) these days.
It's not equal opportunity sensationalism. It's complete fiction by people who want to create the world in their own image.
