    AJ needs to retire and go into coaching. and Someone forgot to tell Mattingly that if you want to get guys days off you don't do it all in one night with your ace (at least this season) on the hill. He "gave days off" to more than half of our power. Seriously, Greinke doesn't deserves the L he is going to get.

    glad i went back and read all the posts
    was going to same the exact same thing
    especially since agon raked against de la rosa
    and by stacking the lineup full of righties he had to go with joc as a ph
    might as well have left zack in to hit

    Even that was disappointing. Bases juiced one out after Turner is hit, and these guys just fold.

    He could've gone another inning. Then he just basically threw in the towel by going to Santos. We all knew how that was going to turn out. He also wasted Joc. The worst part about Greinke coming out was that he hit the hardest ball of the night for the Dodgers. It isn't like Greinke can't hit and there wasn't anyone on base. If only they could chalk this loss against Santos and DBB, it would only be right.

    greinke wasn't at his best control-wise
    but he battled and made really only one mistake
    he earned the right to at the very least go out and start the 7th
    further, by donnie stacking the lineup with all rh hitters, he boxed himself into a corner
    should have kept agon in the lineup so he'd have at least one rh ph available
    and i know grandal was there, but you don't burn your 2nd catcher unless you have to
    just a very poorly managed game

    Didn't watch the game and I know the offense didn't do much so eventually it didn't matter, but I felt like Hatcher woulda been a good choice for the 8th. Dudes been struggling so you get him in a close spot but not protecting a lead. He's still a much better option then Santos IMO. Maybe he wasn't available but i feel like Santos hasn't shown he should be in any game where the deficit or lead is less then 3
