Actually it would have just lowered the grade for the nerds because the training staff they hired should have caught the injuries lol.
I can't see it helping how Roberts seems to fuck these newcomers out of wins and no hitters like it's going out of style...
You don't but FA's and guys coming up might... Remember the Arte Moreno diss on Trout and what he had to do after? Wins = money for these mercenary guys
MehCarthy is turning into a shitshow beyond my lowest expectations. He's better for the team on the DL.
He is failing in a most spectacular way...beyond all expectations. Odd they were discussing his troubles like he came off the DL last week, using "rust" as an excuse partially. Didn't get that... In truth, the guy had a couple of really nice outings initially...so what about the "rust" then? Is there really any excuse for him to have become the Bob Eucker real-life embodiment of the "just a bit outside" joke?
Guy has gone 10.2 innings his last 3 starts....I know we are short on SP, but it's tough to keep trotting out a guy that makes the BP pitch 5-6 innings. Seems like nobody in this rotation is capable of pitching deep into a game.
this and it'll likely be more of the same with urias starting today blanton still looks gassed to me glad they gave segedin a shot but calling up some bullpen guys would be a better idea?
By the time the playoffs come around, the BP is gonna be spent. Even if CK does come back, they're gonna ease him in and he won't be making his normal 7-9 inning starts. This is gonna bite us.
Dave, with his quick hook has shown he has little or no regard for one's personal achievements in certain situations like: Strip's NoNo Urias' probable wins Other starters going out in the 5th before going on record. Relievers on a roll............ I get the whole "Team first" concept but hear me out on this one.... One discussion would be how starting a career with a NoNo could catapult someone into a legendary career vs meh. Another would be how costing someone wins could damage his psyche and/or piss him off when he has a choice who to play for. Here's one that could be rather interesting.... Maeda. Maeda signed a contract that is HUGELY incentive laden so missed innings mean A LOT more to him than others. Him, being Japanese has a loyalty level most others would not so I'm sitting here SMH thinking what a shit show this could be if a different pitcher in his contract situation, someone with a temperament like a Chris Sale or a Gary Sheffield (not a pitcher but HUUUUUGE Prima Dona) would react, in the clubhouse or worse, in the press.
It's okay, our starters are just saving their arms. By the time the playoffs come they should be so rested they can each go 9 innings and give the pen a rest.
and not just his quick hook with starters but his insistence on overusing everyone forget which game it was, but it was a blowout and he still ended up using 5 relievers comes a time, especially when you're down 8+ runs, where you hand the ball to someone and let them eat some innings as for the starters, how exactly are they going to get extended if he never extends them?
Also, you think pitchers/players don't talk and see when managers fuck with their stats? He's not even letting these guys log quality starts.
Most are incapable of so called quality starts. Roberts has been dealt a 16 with the dealer showing 10 with this fragile starting staff and injuries and flameouts to his outfielders. I think he's made the best of a bad situation.
