Basically once he gets unblocked, then he is officially the Dodgers I'm guessing? I doubt this many outlets would have reported otherwise.
Really excited right now. I don't know anything about him but in our scouts and Logan White I trust. If this guy can come in and be an immediate upgrade over Mark Ellis then this will be huge. I see that he hasn't been cleared to sign, hope that is just a minor bump in the road.
RT @JesseSanchezMLB Agent for #Cuba SS Alexander Guerrero: “Nothing finalized. No agreement in hand with anyone. No truth to any of that.” Three teams in mix.
@JesseSanchezMLB: #Dodgers among 2 NL teams (one AL) on #Cuba SS Alexander Guerrero. He can't sign until he's cleared by US govt. Showcase Wed & game on Thurs
@rbaly79: Stan Kasten speaks to a Dominican radio station now and says the Dodgers are planning on spending big on Campo Las Palmas.
Must be some sort of strategy for announcing how you will handle a free agent. Maybe scare others away from him?
what the fuck? What the fuck is going on that first we reportedly offer Miguel 5 years 50 mil, and pretty much have him, and then this dude, and it's BS on both? Is some source within being a little fuck>
This whole storyline seems so strange. I am resigned to the fact that Mark will be replaced next season but to bring this kid up so quickly as to affect our chemistry seems really really odd. When I 1st saw this story I thought it was a April fools joke in July. We'll see what happens.
Campos las palmas is a baseball facility, not a player. I think they have to say that, can't imagine it would look very good to the OFAC if his agent said, "we have a verbal agreement with the Dodgers" before he can sign.
So if/when we sign Alexander Guerrero, how long before the Dodgers are the Cuban International team plus Clayton Kershaw?
Hehehe when cespesdes becomes a free agent lol...and how bout trading league to the sox for contreras while we're at it
Idk what's going on with this. It was reported they signed him, and then that was redacted. What's going on? Is he not eligible to officially sign yet? http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2...-infielder-alexander-guerrero-for-32-million/
Correct, not eligible to sign just yet. I would expect it to get done when he can, too many specifics got out.
