fuck, make a fucken decision already :dramaqueen:
    • The Lester sweepstakes “is nearing [the] finish line” and there is a “reasonable belief” that Lester could pick his new team by tonight, ESPN’s Buster Olney tweets. Olney adds that Lester will soon be presented with his final offers from teams, though WEEI.com’s Rob Bradford reports that Lester’s agents are not quite ready to present those final offers to their client. There’s “still a strong possibility” that Lester make his decision until Wednesday, Bradford writes.

no, i just asked you plainly " what would be your offer for Hamels " just to see if you'd be willing to send proven MLB players for him..because you complained about taking back unproven prospects for Kemp. that's it and that's all.

and it wasn't an attack on you..many Dodgers fans do the bullshit where they want the world for Kemp and turn their noses up at the idea of getting prospects for him, but then only wanna send prospects for other team's stars.

There is still a "strong possibility" that Olney doesn't know jack and a "reasonable belief" that all these fuckers are just guessing.

i'm talking about the same 36yr old Jimmy Rollins that has a combined .756 OPS in the leadoff spot over the last 3yrs, yes.

he slugged .500 in the spot just last season.

it's just far too easy to make rumors up and string people along so that they continue to tune in to the Winter Meetings broadcast. it almost makes you not wanna believe a gotdamn word from anyone. it's sad. when you're watching all the rumors and teasing on TV, it's worse..feel like a fool.

but i guess Dee is outta here. maybe package Dee with one of the outfielders to build some interest that way? anybody's guess at this point.

moving Dee might open up a set of questions, or perhaps maybe answer a few, about the outfield/leadoff spot situation. Puig leading off again? Crawford? who? Rollins deal?

Yeah, exactly. A lot of these guys are just speculating and throwing out scenarios they think could happen. I'm just going to wait until something is official before I fall for that bullshit

now that i think about..Joc to leadoff? i forgot about that. i mean if it's one thing he showed when he got the call up was the ability to get on base. i think he had a .353 OBP or somethin close to it. like 9 or 10 walks to 11Ks. gotta clean up the Ks by God..

If they make an offer to Hamels, include Rollins and make it about the money. How the Dodgers are willing to help them with their financial "burden". Offer Chinchilla, Dee, Lee and a lower prospect or two.

If they insist on Joc or Seager, tell them to fuck off or take all of Chinchilla's salary and throw in Dom Brown.

Ned isn't involved so I don't think we can get screwed like before but the inaction is disturbing.

    More bullshit

7:03pm: Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski told reporters (including MLive.com’s Chris Iott) denied Olney’s report, saying “I don’t know where he got that. That’s not accurate….I can 100 percent guarantee you that our situation has not changed whatsoever.” The Tigers haven’t had any new talks with Scherzer or gotten involved with any major free agents, Dombrowski said.

1:39pm: The Tigers are focused on retaining starter Max Scherzer, ESPN.com’s Buster Olney reports on Twitter. Detroit is “prepared to spend big” to do so, Olney adds.

here's what pisses me off about Joc..he's got a decent approach, but he doesn't adjust enough. he's got the Trout-like approach at the plate where he'll be gotdamned if he swings at the 1st pitch. he's taking like 110% of the time. which means you have a damn good chance of falling behind in the count and if you do, you need to shorten up, make good contact, use the middle of the field some and let your speed play. get some infield singles and what not.

maybe he'll eventually adjust in the majors, but he finds himself taking HR cuts far too much when he's in the hole 0-2, 1-2, etc. maybe it's a matter of him tryin to put on a show and make a way to the majors. i dunno. he has the 1st part figured out though..he just needs to finish ABs better. but even as is..he walks enough. but if his power isn't gonna be the same in the majors, gotta K less. it's hard to find high OBP guys that don't K a lot anymore. guys like Markakis are diamonds in the rough. but i see a lot of Brady Anderson in Joc. he still needs to get in better shape though and cut some of that baby fat.

6:57pm: CSN Chicago’s David Kaplan hears from “two very good MLB sources” who believe the Cubs are the leading contenders to sign Lester.
