So then, as far as Forsythe is concerned, the experiment is over with him taking pitches for the team?

Joc has been given a really long leash to date by Dave, I think. And except for some short lived spurts, really doesn't hit like he should. Considering the alternative, who I guess is Kike in the present situation, he might have faired better getting the lion's share of playing time. Joc just doesn't hit either L or RH
    pitching.
I would imagine Joc's shot at getting anything back that he had, has pretty much shrunk to minimal with the appearance of Agon this weekend in Detroit, altbough dh is probably Agon's first taste.

    why fix what ain't broke?
puig was excelling in the 8 spot, but like fall said joc forced doc's hand
hopefully puig continues doing well wherever they put him
barnes should start over grandal against every lhp
joc should be sent down and replaced by verdugo
btw wasn't long ago cody was unproven too

i don't hate puig at all
and i've always praised him for never letting his offensive woes affect his defense
the way he's learned/accepted to hit to all fields has made him a very productive/dangerous hitter
also -- and this is huge imo -- those two walks last night were impressive as hell...
puig has learned to be patient at the plate

At the end of the day, I want Puig at the plate more often than Grandal/Joc/Foreskin. He's been very successful in the 8 spot and a big weapon at the bottom of the order, but we've been winning in spite of Joc/Grandal/Foreskin at the plate. Grandal hasn't been as bad as Joc/Foreskin on the season but he's been woeful lately and those 3 don't deserve to be in the middle of the order. I'm all for Puig batting #6.

It's crazy when I look at that photo and immediately see that the boxes are stacked too high and not meeting the 18" below sprinkler fire code... always auditing..

Fortunately Forsythe's contract next year is a club option for 8.5M with a 1M buyout. Would love to see Forsythe gone and Taylor assume the 2b slot next to Seager. We are still on the hook for next year with Gonzo, but with Taylor at 2nd, Cody can be placed in the OF till 2019 when he takes over as the permanent 1b. It would be nice to have an OF of Bellinger/Verdugo/Puig next year, and a starting rotation of Kershaw/Otani/Darvish/Hill/Wood.

Wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't taken down pretty much after it was discovered for the reasons above which is a shame but understandable. In my line of work, wine and liquor merchandising a picture would be taken then a walk through for big wigs would happen then it would be gone.

    agreed
he swung at a first pitch yesterday -- and got a hit!
    being selective is one thing
but if it doesn't result in production...

because you must take initiative, you fix your car before the wheels come flying off so that never happens
there is a knock in the engine, do you just keep driving, i mean we only have a few months left, the car may make it home just fine... or the engine may blow up.
and cody cant play the OF according to you or else he cant hit.
cody also did not come in at the end of the year on a record setting club
verdugo is not the type of player cody is, bellinger was as close to a sure thing you can have in the minors.
verdugo we still have lots of questions about
and while as a total package he may be better than Calhoun, it may be that WIllie is the better hitter out of LF.
which is only brought up because we dont know what Verdugo can do in the bigs, and to assume he will be better than Joc/Grandal/Agon/Puig is too much of a stretch.

Actually that is not that far fromt he truth.
Racism is not about what color you are but about what pole position your color (flag/character) will have in the coming race.

Logan at 8.5M may be seen as bargain gamble by the FO.
At that price if he continues to suck its not that much of a loss, specially since even if/when he sucks he can still play good defense and hit lefties really nice.
But if he gets back his rythmn vs righties he is a superbargain.

I duno........yeah he is hitting 300+ against LHP, but 8.5M might be an over pay. Forsythe would have to take Kiki's super utility roll and I hate to say this but Kiki might be the better option given his $500K price tag. Kiki is only 2 years out from hitting 400+ against LHP. This year he is 250+ against LHP.

up to puig to prove he can do well hitting elsewhere
he's capable of hitting anywhere doc puts him
my concern was more attitude wise
seemed like he had a chip on his shoulder and really wanted to prove people wrong for hitting him 8th
just hoping he keeps the same focus
have a feeling he will, just didn't feel the change was necessary

never said cody couldn't hit playing the outfield
    but he hasn't so far
he shouldn't have to move there because just because agon is back
adrian needs to prove he can be productive or else his fat ass can ride the pine

cody, verdugo and calhoun are all different players
but verdugo is closer to cody than calhoun
and the front office agrees which is why they both were/are untouchable
    calhoun... not so much

not unreasonable at all to presume verdugo will ultimately be a better than joc, grandal, agon or puig
and again, the front office also clearly feels this way
but you're making it sound like he has to replace all of them
barnes and grandal should split time
cody should gets the majority of pt at 1b until (if ever) agon shows he can hit
fuck joc, verdugo is already better before he's ever played a game
and shame on you... leave puig alone you racist :poke:
