    No way unless there is something happening behind the scenes with any of our front 4... and probably it'd have to be two of them. Tigers are said to be insisting on a big return AND said team to take most if not all of his contract. Would be fun though...

    Yowza, bad loss by the Marlins. Bad baserunning likely cost the M's a run in the 9th and instead left them loaded with the tying run on 3rd. Realamuto had a pitch that would have hit him and instead moved his elbow out of the way and then K'd looking on a FB on the black on the next pitch. 6 games behind the Rockies now, maybe here's a chance to get Ziegler?

    Oh man, Justin Verlander traded to the Houston Astros.... and he nixed the deal!

    Apparently he will only ok deal to Dodgers and Cubs... this could be bad as Cubs were rumored to be other team in on Verlander. There was a rumor around the deadline that said he'd also ok a deal to Houston so this is a bit surprising.

    impossible to beat the odds and play at the level we were is all
    not going to win many when the sp has an era of 16.o3 over 3 games it happens
    two of those games we nearly came back so we haven't started laying down just yet
    only reason i would say better now its because in a 5 game series we just went home
    better to shit the bed now and imo it was sort of inevitable although i do think we took our foot off the gas and that scares me

    Wow, so the rumored return for Verlander was BIG. Really hope the Cubs don't come in and somehow find a way to land him... we certainly won't compete with an offer like that.

    If you're sitting here wondering what would have been a similar deal from us, it woulda been damn near impossible to beat without including Buehler or Verdugo. That was a fucking haul. Maybe Alvarez, Diaz and Will Smith gets it done... maybe.
