I also wouldn't be surprised if we fired Mattingly and replaced him with Wallach.

Or Ned Yost......or Gibson.....or Matt Williams (what a nightmare).

I'm hoping this ownership group and the GM realizes this team, as constructed, is never going to the big dance. We need add to the SP with a proven post-season winner. We need to nuke the bullpen completely and get some strong middle relief guys. AND, we need smarter at-bats. You can't say it's inexperience. These guys have been around the block. They just seem to have the long-ball strategy when things get down, and that might just be a coaching issue. But I wouldn't mind starting new and dumping some people for younger, more athletic, more teachable hitters. This formula is just not working right now.

Can I just say I'm sick of all this "Insert team here" way?

Cardinal way? Dodger way? Fuck that noise. Just find the right guys to lead us to a title. The right way is competence.

I guess that voice must have been pretty silent these last ten years or so, huh? It must be because you're leading the charge now- makes all the difference when someone like you is at the forefront. Dodger Nation turns it's lonely eyes to you, Joe...cute phrasing, right?
All I did initially is ask you what your post meant as to how you would/could make a voice known... I'm not ashamed or bothered by the fact that I'm older than others here, and often don't get what the expressions mean. So I'll ask , so I know. And you, instead of responding like a gentleman to a polite question, chose to come back with some BS about getting into the 21st century and then another word on what you won't get into with me, as if I wanted to. I even remarked to you about not trying to be confrontational, given your posting history consideration.
Typical smug jerkoff response, for no reason at all. Dullard shit...y'know. Dime a dozen stuff. Classless. I'll admit though, I should have known..
You seem to be the only one bothered by my phrasing (which you used again, BTW) and movie line references; get some originality, for crissakes.

more drama. rather than recognizing the point i'm making, you laser in and take every joke to heart, get all uppity, miss the point completely and then carry on with more rhythmic bedtime stories. i don't know what else to tell you, but those are my observations. it may be possible that i pay too much attention to you..i seem to be the only guy who argues with you, so maybe i should fall back like the others and just watch your show? i'll take that into heavy consideration.

one thing's for certain, good buddy..considering your own posting history..the majority of people that are here aren't gonna be clamoring for your usual all-out doom and gloom outlook on the future of the Dodgers this off-season. if you don't believe anything else that i tell you..believe that.

i wonder what these guys' thinking is when they're watching AJ go up there and have successful AB after successful AB..like seriously. part of me wonders if they even notice or if they're even paying attention to AJ. Lol this team's not a humble one. you'd have no chance of getting them to do what Bochy got his guys to do against Strasburg the other day when the Gnats just shortened their swings and fouled off all his pitches and frustrated the fuck out of him.

it's a cultural thing we have here with the " superstar " bullshit..even Uribe's posing and shit on flyballs. it just trickles down to everyone. big impact moves have to happen for it to cease and i'm looking right at Hanley and Puig..the 2 who drove them to the playoffs last year. this team just sucks at doing the little things and i too would like to see them get rid of a couple of these guys before the kids start coming up and getting infected with the same bullshit.

Let me say that there's no such thing as a "proven postseason winner". You're relying on talent and luck. I thought Kershaw pitched well yesterday. My problem (yet again) continues to be the offense. I understand this is the postseason and teams aren't just handing out runs; but you scored a total of 3 runs off Lackey and Miller. Give me a break.

In a winner take all game I'm still taking Kershaw over Jon Lester or someone who is a "postseason winner".

@Ken_Rosenthal: Feeling among number of #Dodgers people is that GM Colletti is on hot seat, and that ownership has softer spot for Mattingly. We shall see.

I feel a bit better now

Get a new GM, a fucking smart forward thinking one, and let him hire whichever manager has the same vision for his ball club as he does. If it's Don, cool. If not, okay.

But please get rid of Ned. Give a blank check to Andrew Friedman. Do something really smart Mr. kasten

I hope Ned goes. I still have Jason Schmidt ringing in my head, and all the other BS former Giant signings he's made. Then his constant inability to make impact moves before the trade deadline. His total incompetence when judging individuals in the farm leagues. His lack of instincts when it comes to value on the market. I can't tell if he's an old-style GM or a metrics guy....or what his strategy is/was. I was completely, utterly flabbergasted at not pulling the trigger on a SP this trade season. Everyone and their mothers knew a 4th big league pitcher might have pushed us over the top (note, we might not have needed Kershaw on short rest if we had a reliable 4th).

The bullpen....he did nothing to improve it this year either. Overpaid Brandon League, overpaid Brian Wilson....etc.

Don't get me started on Mattingly. That's a whole other can of worms. But Ned has to go.

If a new GM comes in I think and hope he will want his own guy for manager. So let's hope Ned gets the boot

I just still can't shake this loss. If Kershaw was Kershaw we'd be getting ready to fuck up the Giants in the NLCS. how awesome would that have been? So sick

was thinking about what we were talking about the other day chris
i keep watching yesterday's highlights expecting a different result
kersh essentially made one bad pitch and it cost him the game, the series, the season
if hanley somehow came up with that blooper things may have turned out differently
but it wasn't meant to be
and yet i keep watching, keep hoping
