Have consider that Mr. Blister Jr was able to throw 100 pitches last night as a bit of good news.

confusing as to why Zappa didn't get any run at all so far
won't say its better than CK but i think we'll be ok unless davey happens which it probably will
don't blame him for yesterday at all but he's due

just have no idea how they’re gonna handle Tony if he actually threw 80-90 pitches just last Saturday. Cant say I’m excited about having to navigate all these things for our coaches, it’s much better when things are just straightforward: here’s a starter, he can go 5-6, then relievers. The more moves you have to make, more room that these guys are gonna fuck up

but again, the offense can make all this incredibly easy

What is the inference here with this? That Kershaw is faking back spasms or it's a smokescreen because they are afraid for him to take the mound ?

Ah so clarification: Gonsolin did NOT throw a sim game on Saturday, only a bullpen. Good shit

I’d just like Muncy to not bat cleanup

I'm actually pretty confident about this series, and I think if we lose today it's still a 50/50 series. This is more of a must win for the Braves. The Dodgers are going to crush in Games 3-5.

At some point they gotta take him outta there. One of the main problems: the obvious choice to swap him with is Bellinger and I don’t feel that passionate about moving Cody to cleanup...

At least Muncy drew a walk yesterday, that's more than Betts, Smith, and Bellinger did.

Not shut out all season playing in front of pieces of cardboard, but first game with real people in the stands and the hitters freeze up - one unlikely Kike swing from getting their first goose egg. Yeah, Freid is tough, but this offense is supposed to be state of the art and this is when they need to be just that. Hopefully today dispels the freezing up theory.

And by the way, when you work a good pitcher to the tune of 28 pitches in the first and 17 in the second, why would you start swinging at the first pitch? I believe Turner and Smith were both guilty of that and both made contact and outs, and Pollock twice swung on 2-0 counts (one single, one out). Sure, Freid only went six innings, but could've been knocked out in five and that extra reliever may have been the one to give up a crooked number.
