Sometimes just giving a team a window can be all they need to go on streak. We are watching that right now with the Rockies and say some hiccup happens tonight, that could be what the Dodgers need to spur them on. Get out of the fucking wild card game, get the NLDS and get a young Braves team. Just need Strasburg to stop pitching like ass.

Flew to Ohio today, so I followed the game on my phone.

Last time I was here for the season finale Charlie Culbertson happened. Hoping for similar magic tomorrow.

Hill is probably starting tomorrow. Need the offense to do good shit again and hopefully Hill has at least 1 more elite game in him. Just need 4 great innings from him tbh

Rockies radio announcers were in full blown bitch mode. They were PISSED about Jon Gray fucking up again. Said he sucked all the air out of the ballpark in the first inning.
No excuses now, gotta win tomorrow. Hope Hill still has the stuff he had from his last outing where he “found something”. Annoyed they celebrated tonight when this was still in the cards. Laying an egg tomorrow will be inexcusable.

Nats went to their shutdown bullpen when up by 7, 9 & 10. They better not be planning on giving those guys the last fucking game off.

Damn, maybe? Bettis was probably in line for it before tonight. Tyler Anderson is supposedly doing better, so maybe him? Seems desperate, though.

I know this is going to be an extremely unpopular post tonight...

Kershaw's last EIGHT starts have resulted in Dodger wins.

Before anyone jumps down my throat, I'll concede that today's W was clearly despite Kershaw, not because of him.

But for a team to essentially record an 8-game winning streak during a pitcher's starts, certainly that pitcher is doing enough to put his team in position to win - and fortunately in our case, the team held up their end of the bargain too.

During that span, Kershaw's ERA is 3.29. By his own standards, that's pretty pedestrian. But in real terms, a 3.29 ERA is not horrible. Overall, another season of an ERA < 3.00. His streak there is remarkable.

But he fails when the team needs him most, right? Well, we needed him pretty badly against COL 11 days ago when he held that offense to 1 run over 7 innings. Point is, he has failures in clutch situations, but he has successes too.

I don't know what to expect from him this postseason if we're fortunate enough to get past a WC game (if necessary). My confidence in Kershaw is definitely not at an all-time high. But I don't agree with what seems to be the consensus here... that a Kershaw start in the postseason will be an automatic loss. In general, I'm pretty pumped about featuring Kershaw, Ryu and Buehler (with Hill as a 4th when needed). That's a pretty tough group right now.

If they do, they would be screwed for a potential playoff game with the Dodgers on monday, Freeland pitched yesterday (friday), so he's not an option.
