Yeah, that's a joke. I'll just pay the extra 24 dollars in case a division rival has a big game late in the year. Figures they didn't offer much of a discount.

I like the full package (no homo). Enjoy watching other teams lose to help us out down the stretch.

I live in NJ, and the package for all with Direct TV is $200...Started out at $150, and increased to it's present absurdity. $109 would be a huge bargain for me.
    It's $109 in NYC, Shaw?

Yes, mlb.tv is the same price everywhere in the US.

$109 is the mlb.tv standard price. Typically that only works on computers. Most likely you want mlb.tv Premium which is usually $25 more (or $134). With Premium you can watch through most streaming devices (Roku, AppleTV, Chromecast, Smart TV, iPad... basically anything that runs Netflix or Hulu+). You can check your streaming device to make sure you have access to the mlb.tv app first.

Also keep in mind there are blackouts. Probably all Mets and Yankees games will be blacked out in your area along with any nationally televised games.

Diamondbacks Trying To Trade Second Baseman

By Steve Adams | January 21, 2016 at 9:37am CST

9:37am: FOX’s Ken Rosenthal hears that the D-backs remain reluctant to part with what be the No. 39 pick in this year’s draft (Twitter link).

8:45am: The Diamondbacks are in “active trade talks” and trying to move a second baseman, reports Bob Nightengale of USA Today (Twitter link). Moving one of their current options at the position would allow them to add Howie Kendrick to the fold, Nightengale adds.

The Trade Deadline has been moved to August 1st since the 31st is a Sunday. This should be fun when some people forget about the date swap and start freaking out.

What's that Ethier trade deadline tho? Lol
I think his 10/5 rights kick in at some point in May if I remember correctly.
With some scouts believing Micah Johnson is gonna wind up in the OF, maybe that's the move at some point?
Another lefty, but 1 that should hit at the very top of the lineup and give DR some explosive base running and energy.
Definitely need a tablesetter and he's been a big OBP guy, maybe he eventually takes LF?
Gonna be interesting to see how that plays out, Johnson's too good to sit in the minors all year @ 25yrs old, move him in or move him out, similar to Schebler in that's it's time to make the leap to the show one way or another, here or somewhere else.

No Criminal Charges Filed Against Aroldis Chapman
By Steve Adams | January 21, 2016 at 1:40pm CST

Rafael Olmeda of the Miami Sun Sentinel reports that Broward County prosecutors will not file criminal charges against left-hander Aroldis Chapman in connection with allegations of domestic violence dating back to this past October. Olmeda adds that the Broward State’s Attorney office will be making an official statement on the matter later today.

Chapman’s lawyer, Paul Molle, issued the following statement, according to Olmeda: “We are all pleased that the Davie Police Department and the Office of the State Attorney took the time to fully investigate the matter and have concluded that charges were not warranted.”

    Is this even news?
I thought the police department concluded their investigation in October or November or whatever it was...
part of what pissed me off at the time of the deal falling apart.

It really isn't news. This was basically a foregone conclusion from the beginning. The only question was whether or not MLB would have any grounds to take action against him with basically nothing to back them. I'm actually happy we didn't get Chapman, not because of this single incident but because it sounds like he's had a history of being a little off.

I forgot about those 10/5 rights. I don't know that it will force our FO to do anything though. Ethier has always been a guy who wants to play, so if it was between sitting on the bench in LA or starting somewhere else it's likely Ethier wouldn't stop it. Plus our FO could always sweeten the deal with a million dollar bonus if he agrees. That said, he was available for trade last offseason and I imagine he's available now as well.

    A little off, as in?
The normal " off " of a great reliever?
    How off are we talkin?
Is he chain smoking in the pen? Lol
Cincy sure waited a looooong time to deal that dude if he's a psycho, that's all I'm gonna say.

Yeah...we lost out on this guy because of...exactly why again? We thought he might have been a domestic abuse head case? How do we just sit back and let the best rp in baseball just slide on over to the Yankees when he legally did nothing wrong? Hey Shaw...can MLB find "guilt" when a police investigation didn't?
WTF is the justification for this deal being quashed...I think the fans deserve an answer.
They obviously wanted him, he did nothing illegal, so why don't we have him? Or are we supposed to believe now we didn't want him like the Greinke force-fed crap ?

It's not all about the 10/5 for me, but Dilbeck's piece was indeed 10/5 based.
Regarding that tho, Ethier's a well-paid guy who's been living lavish in Socal for long while now, so not sure what impact a 1MM bonus would have on him.
It's hard for me to believe that he'd be OK with going to say Cincy just because they have a spot open for him and " here, take this bonus and get whipped in the central, bud. " Lol
Going from LA to a Cincy-like city is definitely a loss for somebody like him, he's got a family and already has a load of cash, so the wife's feelings are probably factoring in no different than Cliff Lee/Hamels and a host of other high profile guys over the years.
A recent case for us, Rollins' wife basically sayin " hell naw " to the Bay and preferring LA, Philly wanted to deal with Beane.
Have to wonder where Ethier's playing time ranks on his wife's list of priorities, ya know?
With that said, wouldn't shock me if he (and she) had a list and preferred some place like NY over a Tampa.
It's hard to call, but I do wonder if there's a pool of teams that are actually a good fit baseball-wise, that are hesitant to trade for him because they question his whole situation and if he'll buy in.
Good hitter against righties and non-flamethrowers, but still talking about a platoon guy here, so considering all of the above maybe it hasn't been worth the time for teams to chase?

But where I'm coming from is more from the place where the nerds are trying to get younger, which should apply to the OF.
Micah/Joc/Puig/Trayce all being plus runners/athletes, that'd be a rangy/athletic OF in the mold of what KC has going on.
Perhaps they'll see what Joc, Puig, and YG look like in April before they move Ethier, just to make sure that the middle of the order is left in capable hands so to speak?
Or maybe not, maybe interested teams are looking at those 10/5 rights and will wait to see if LAD gets desperate and takes a lesser offer?
Or maybe you're right and LAD will go past that 10/5 point and give him the rights just to make the point that they don't really have to move him..and then move him when somebody comes correct?
But what if he then gets off to a slow start in the 2016 season and he loses value again, this time at the age of 34?
That's the gamble, that could close the book entirely.
Order construction-wise I think Corey is 2, Turner is 3, and Adrian is 4..after that it's probably anybody's ballgame at the leadoff spot and 5-8 in terms of just the ordering.
But I'm interested in what Micah Johnson could do in LF/leading off.
A lot to like about Johnson's fit with the current group.

Relievers are classically all a little off
Hard to understand why anyone wouldn't want the guy based on one the incident or being off
I kind of like the idea of a guy on our side throwing 100+ and opposing hitters thinking he's crazy
Oh well not to worry he's not going to pitch for us due to some sort of morality issue on our part
Guaranteed NY is not going to have any problems w this "madman"

Don't think the team is planning to move Ethier anymore. With all the big names about off the market, the club not really having an immediate viable full time LF'er(Crawford doesn't count) and now the rumor of a DH coming in a year, guessing we are going to be seeing him in Dodgers blue through the end of his contract. If he can repeat what he did in 2015, I don't have a problem.
