    Glad they didn't just throw Logie out like trash after his postseason last year
    To get a Dozier in return, a guy that more than likely needed a change of scenery given his contract dispute with the Twinkies before the season..good stuff, nerds

    As for pitching..LAD obviously needs it, but looking around at the rest of the NL playoff comp, quite a bit of the teams needed pitching and still do
    LAD may have enough to get through the NL side

    You don't think Maeda is going to dip back into the bullpen in the postseason?
    He was preeeetty damn good last postseason, proved he can do it.

    Maeda is a weird play..I mean, coming over from the east, I do wonder if he can muster up enough as a starter in October.
    Yeah, he's doing OK as a starter now, but what about 2 months from now?

    He was so good out of the pen, I mean, I don't see how they can't at least consider pulling him out of the rotation and shoring up the pen that way when the time comes.
    What that'd mean for the rotation....hard to say.
    I guess if Strip can get it back, or they rest him and keep him fresh and then pull him back into the rotation come post season, maybe that'd be an answer?
    Hill and Maeda could probably tag team..probably safe to say Hill only goes 3-4 innings/60-70 pitches in his playoff starts

    According to Eric Stephen

    Dodgers added $497,326 in actual salary in their 2 trades (the remainder of Axford's $1.5m). They actually reduced their CBT number by about $829k Current estimate has the Dodgers at ~$192.2m relative to CBT (threshold is $197m)

    Still can't believe the Pirates did what they did today. A team 3 games over .500 and 7 games back in their division
    Yeah they wanted him for the team control, but they'll be trash in the coming years as well
    That guy should've landed with LAD
    Signing that contract early has thrown a wrench in a promising career

    Key to get Dozier was the inclusion of Logan and salary relief and I am pretty damn sure they didn't want Logan back. Or Yasiel or some other money guys on our team.
