    racist but i agree
    cost prohibitive for essentially a dh
    would rather re-sign jd and go after starting pitching… you know, something we actually need
    no guarantees on what you’ll get from walker and may, gonsolin is mid, julio’s gone, kersh should probably retire, and the kids are still kids (no pedo)
    get snell, montgomery via free agency
    then trade for someone like glasnow

    100% but I also think the way this team works they'll bid everything to get him like a circus would bid for an elite oddity.
    I mean, i admire dudes talent but just don't trust him holding up long term...who knows where he'll be when he starts throwing again?

    Are the Justin Turner rumors true ? He turned down 13 million from Rsox...so maybe we'll sign him and have another clanky 3b to back up Max?
    And really whatever one thinks of JD, is anyone gonna top his numbers ?
    Aside from the inescapable reality of nothing they do or who they get will make a difference during the Time of the Albatross in charge, it's nice to have a guy you really admire and respect on the team.

    Shōta posted a 2.66 ERA with an impressive 29.5 K% for the Yokohama DeNA BayStars of the NPB. He'd be a really nice pickup and come a lot cheaper than Yamamoto.

    Looks lke they're just cleaning up a lot of pitchers on the roster who contributed nothing but all got paid. Treinen with his potential, is worth a flyer for uno millione, as written above.
    Should be some bp next year. And starting staff.
    As a very long time fan, it really sucks that every signing, no matter how potentially great, now has it's excitement diluted by the well earned " what difference is it going to make in the end" with Albatross annually maintaining the post season failure ?
