my guess is he doesn't gaf
and davey not being included in the MOY conversation is hilarious
the Dodger analysts on fsn had all but crowned him and the little general was nearly giving acceptance speeches in interviews
still waiting for any team to want to talk to him amidst all this manager movement

I've always thought there's high heels and feather boas as an integral part of this ridiculously unwavering relationship.

Free agent Kiké Hernández underwent double-hernia surgery on Oct. 24. Expected to resume baseball activities in 3-4 weeks. Hernández’s condition helps explain why he wasn’t the same offensively and defensively last season.

what isn’t explained is how the LAD staff either missed this or didn’t care
not the first instance either — kersh reportedly had surgery after the season as well
waiting for mookie and freddie to announce their excuses, er, procedures

they didn't miss it and probably cared, they just hid it from everyone. It's their typical practice

This may seem sophmoric on my part ( but is what it is), but when FAs like Kersh and Kike get surgeries in the off season, who pays for it all?
    They do?
The Dodgers ? Without them being resigned ?
    Just curious..

The dumbest thing of all time to me is knowing guys are injured and require surgery, but we still play them?

Kike, Kersh and Peralta? Who the fuck is making these decisions? Holy shit.

Brandon Gomes also didn't want to commit to Dustin May pitching next season, though it's possible. He has not picked up a ball yet after undergoing his flexor tendon repair and TJ revision in July. "He’s somebody that...we’re not going to push by any means," Gomes said.

Andrew Friedman said a reunion with JD Martinez is possible, but that right now they still don't know "which direction we’re gonna go with our position player group" (aka, how things will play out with Shohei Ohtani)

oh so now it’s no prob

Source: LHP Eduardo Rodríguez has informed teams he has no geographic restrictions in free agency. That is encouraging for the Dodgers and Giants, who are already active on starting pitchers. Notably, the Dodgers nearly traded for Rodríguez at the deadline.

As strange as it may sound, there is a brotherhood amongst losers, too. In hoc signo vinces.

    • Major League Baseball ended its annual General Mangers Meetings in Scottsdale, Arizona, early due to a virus that has impacted a number of people in attendance. Per Sports Illustrated's Stephanie Apstein, MLB made the decision to cancel the remainder of the meetings on Wednesday after "more than 30" people came down with an illness.

Dodgers GM Brandon Gomes just addressed reporters at the GM Meetings. Among the notes:
    • The plan right now is for Gavin Lux to log a good amount of starts at shortstop. He’s progressing in his ACL rehab.
    • They’re looking to add a SP “or two” — and a corner OF.

rather see lux at 2b and mookie in rf
a couple of starting pitchers probably means a couple of heaney/tyler anderson type reclamation projects
a corner outfielder, huh… presuming you’re not going to re-sign jhey (racist), then why not give vargas or busch a shot?

I like Mookie at 2B just because it's far more difficult to find an MVP caliber 2b vs OF.

Spot on with the starters - probably Kershaw + a rebound guy. Sounds like we might be in on Yamamoto when he gets posted too. If we grab Snell or Nola, I will be VERY surprised.

For the OF, would love to see a RHB with some pop like Soler (awful defensive metrics though).

I'd love for us to grab Matt Chapman at 3B. Nice glove, solid bat to plug in everyday and could leave Max at the DH spot.
