Ellis 4 Youk 5 Kemp 8 Gonzo 3 Ramirez 6 Ethier 9 Crawford 7 Ellis 2 The only thing that worries me is having Ethier and Crawford hitting back to back (especially in late-game situations).
<quoting Aerosmith>... dream until your dreams come true... ... I think that the GG boys are going to have to reel in a lot more talent than Hamilton for that to happen...
if 1-5 do their jobs it shouldn't be a problem if not, you could flip flop kemp/adrian and hanley/dre? would give you righty/lefty from 2-8... ellis youk adrian kemp ethier hanley crawford aj pitcher
I'm not totally against Youk. He could spell 1B/3B/OF once a week and he'd be a decent PHer off the bench.
I''d be good with Youk, but would rather see whta is up with Dee at SS and Hanley at 3B with Cruz and Hariston as super utilities. I really think Dee will be good. Plus, that gives us a chance to go after Wright in the FA market the year after.
I like where your head is but could see this as well vs righties: Youk/Ethier/Kemp/Adrian/Hanley/Crawford/AJ/ELLIS/Pitcher. Two issues with this one. 1. Youk is not fast. We kill our top running game. 2. Ethier would have to remember how to take a walk.
Don't think Youk hits for enough average to lead off. Ellis/Youk/Kemp/Gonzo/Dre/Hanley/CC/AJ would be mine.
I don't understand why we are trying to figure out who leads off when we have a .300 hitter who can steal 30 bags in Carl Crawford.
