Although we saw Joc do that against the Nats right where he should hit it in Wrigley, I think I saw some stat that Joc has hit only 5 opposite field HRs in the past few years.
No nerves at all really. The pressure is entirely on them, it's a nice feeling. Imagine if we win this game with Kersh in Game 2 and then 3 at home?
Corey too, yes. Joc on the other hand, he hits it so hard that stadium dimensions really don't affect him. Against a lefty I'm not holding my breath. Against righties though, I would board up my windows across the street from Wrigley.
Yep. This almost a must-win game for them out of the gate. Too much is in their favor. That said, they are the most well-rounded NL team we've seen in a long time. Fun fact (this might be a bit of a stretch): The last 100-win team in the NLCS not named the Braves or Cardinals? The 1988 Mets. Fun Fact #2: Since 1988, 100-win teams are 2-5 in the NLCS.
Here's hoping the Dodgers can get out of Maeda what the Indians got out of Tomlin (a similar style pitcher to Maeda) today.
kersh officially starting game 2 http://dodgerblue.com/dodgers-news-clayton-kershaw-named-starter-nlcs-cubs-game-2/2016/10/15/
It's game 1 of a 7 game series. By definition, it's not a must win game. Game 2 on the other hand......
This Fox pregame show is incredible lol. Unreal. Just ripping the Dodgers and sucking off the Cubs. Completely giving us no shot. Not even trying to make it seem like a series.
How can the Dodgers make this a series? "I think there's a church nearby" Seriously? No baseball team has ever been good enough to be unbeatable. Especially the effing Cubs. These soundbytes would be so great to look back on if we win.
