I think we should get as many white players as possible. Works for the Cardinals.

To me, that just makes it even better. I want him to have an opt-out exactly like Greinke's deal did. Three great years of Price through his prime would be PERFECT!

That's what I've been saying since last year when it leaked that Greinke would opt out. The deal he signed with us is the blueprint. Get'em for their prime and see'em out before they fade. I just don't know how you convince Guggs to spend a combine 60 million for Greinke's age 35 and 36 seasons when he won't be as good. It's really not reasonable.

I'd give that deal to Price and back that up with a reasonable deal for Zimmermann to be the #3. 4yrs/70M for Zimm with an opt out clause for him too. Move'em in, move'em out while the kids are establishing themselves.

It's team Greinke for me. Probably the easiest decision of the offseason.

I dunno..Zimmermann could probably get more than 4yrs/70M. It's gotta be a Shields-ish type of AAV tho.

If they go with Greinke and wanna pay that loot, so be it. We can rock with that. If it doesn't bother them, doesn't bother me.

I was looking at the Cardinals the other day, and obviously they're successful and won a World Series in 2011. But since then, they've pretty much only had great success in the postseason against the Dodgers lol and have had a lot of shortcomings. They're the Cards so no one feels bad, but they won a whole mess of games this year and got bounced in first round by the third place team in their division. You could draft a funny choking narrative about them

    shouldn't be an either/or imo
otherwise we'll face the same dilemma next year when it's our #3's turn
can't count on ryu or mehcarthy coming back strong
and even if they do, they should be no higher than #4's on a team with our resources/goals

    let anderson go
    put wood in the pen
    fuck bolsinger and frias

    1. Fire Mac and DBB.
    2. Send CC guerrero and bunch of cash to Tampa
    3. Resign Greinke if possible, otherwise price.
    4. QO to Anderson and Howie. Bye Howie would've liked to have resigned him over four years but apparently not happening.
    5. Keep Turner at third and platoon kike and peraza at 2nd. Middle IF range would be too limited otherwise.
    6. Keep Ethier. Mediocre playoffs or not, he helped us get there. If we cut everyone that did poorly in the playoffs we would have to rebuild entirely. Gonna have to burn a lot of cash already shipping out CC and guerrero. Platoon dre with kike. Unless there is a super sweet deal we can get for dre.
    7. Send McCarthy to the BP to prove hes healthy whenever he comes back.
    8. Send wood out in part of a deal for a #3. I like Ross.
    9. Sign Ryan Madson.
    10. Pray Puig has the year he was supposed to have and Grandal finds a new shoulder.

    RF Puig
    SS Seager
    3B Turner
    1B Adrian
    LF Ethier/kike
    C Grandal
    CF Joc
    2B Peraza/Kike

    1B/OF SVS
    C Ellis
    2B/ Mid INF Kike/peraza

SP CK ZK Ross Ryu Anderson
BP jansen madson hatcher avilan howell b mac

And a couple others. Just dont see us spending big time $ puig puts us in a shitty situation because you dont know if your offense is any good. If he and grandal are healthy, along with progression from peraza kike, joc, and seager then the offense could be a tick better even without howie. or it could all turn to shit. if peraza/ kike are deemed unready/wrong for starting 2b duties, you could give Desmond like 14 mil for one year to bounce back and seager to 3b, Turner to 2nd. Or you could just resign Howie fucking Kendrick

    Yeah, right bro.
Where does it say you can't curse out or disparage a GM? What is there some kind of finook etiquette to posting about FO's now?
We lost and all year long had to listen to how wonderful they were and how financially omnipotent the LAD were. And next year, not only will we lose again, but be on the brink of Hilary Clinton's presidency. Fuck.
    .Loser cocksucker motherfucking cunts.
    Thank you.

I brush off lineup continuity for the most part, but I genuinely believe we need to figure this out. Kendrick belongs somewhere 2-5 and he had to lead off because we had nobody good enough to do it. I wish Joc or Puig was that guy but, yeah.

    Is this a priority?

    Discuss.

If Joc gets his shit together, he is the guy for sure.

Also, we need to be much more aggressive with the SB concept and have it in as a philosophy. Unfortunately, this FO doesn't like SB much at all.

We need to pace A GON better as he ages. If the NL West isn't competitive, 135-140 games for him.
