Think that should they get into and win the WS, it will be considered, at the minimum, a wash. Or even worth it.
Some organizations just want to win, baby, win...at any cost.

And the guy who was on the mound, although we'll never see him again out there,, most likely.

    Are the Dodgers done?

    Bradford Doolittle:
Done? No. They aren't the favorites to win the series any longer, but that's just the math that goes with needing to win three straight games. The math is less severe here than it is for other teams in the 0-2 hole, because whatever happens in the series, the Dodgers are the superior team in talent and experience. They just need to get a starter out of the first couple of innings. Lance Lynn can do that. Chase Field is no longer a homer-friendly park, and maybe that will play to Lynn's fly ball tendencies, which have become even more extreme since he joined the Dodgers.

    Buster Olney:
Nah. Their offense is too good. And even in defeat, they created a lot of opportunities. The Dodgers will be hard-pressed to come back from down 0-2 and win the World Series, but they will put runners on base against Brandon Pfaadt. They will have chances. This is a team that scored more runs than anybody but the Braves during the regular season. The Dodgers have more than a puncher's chance.

    David Schoenfield:
Well, as Earl Weaver famously said, "Momentum is the next day's starting pitcher." Unfortunately for the Dodgers, that starting pitcher is Lynn, who led the majors with 44 home runs allowed. Thanks to that powerful offense, he did go 7-2 in his 11 starts with the Dodgers. But manager Dave Roberts certainly will have a quick hook and rely heavily on his bullpen once again -- and hope for a lot of runs scored. And if the Dodgers win one, they're back in the series, even if they'll have to beat Merrill Kelly and Zac Gallen in Games 4 and 5.

i’m as pessimistic as anyone about our chances down 2-0
but win today, and it’s (potentially) a whole new series
of course we still have a huge obstacle to overcome…

Even if he starts off well, it’s inevitable that the fat man will give up a huge HR. Feel like Arizona hits a 3 r HR before we reach the 4th and Dodgers respond with 2 hits the rest of the game.

any contract that big has tremendous downside especially w injury history
don't regret his or TT's coming off the table
then i watch our guy come up short on mvp and proceed to disappear for a second straight year

Can the bats wake up tonight against a very hittable starter? Doubt it lol

This thing is over tonight. Fully expect the Dbacks to go swim in their own pool after the sweep.

Hey, that Seager guy looks pretty good. Wish we had a hitter like that in our lineup. Can we trade for him in the off-season?

A couple updates to the Dodgers' lineup
by Alden Gonzalez | ESPN — 12 minutes ago
The Dodgers, facing elimination, made a few lineup changes ahead of Game 3. Enrique Hernandez is making a rare start against a right-hander, playing center field in place of the left-handed-hitting James Outman. And J.D. Martinez, who homered in Game 2, has been moved up into the No. 3 spot. While most of the Dodgers worked out at Chase Field on Tuesday afternoon, manager Dave Roberts was back in the team hotel having meetings with the front office. He clearly wants to ride some hot hands.

should bench mookie and freddie as well
    well

short leash on lynn, Pepiot in at the first sign of trouble and they have a rookie gascan on the mound
anything other than a victory will be ultimate failure

At least Outman is benched. Guy was visibly scared in the first two games
