    I'm confused...is our #5 Eveland or Evoldi? I get these 2 mixed up. On the radio they are too similair and I never really got to watch them on TV.

    The only thing I am pissed about is that it's for 2 years. He can be a decent #4 starter, along the lines of 11-10 with a 4.20 ERA.

    I have been way more pissed with other shit Ned has done that this doesn't bother me as much. Ehhhh, I hope the new owner is aggresive and gets us a bunch of trade deadline talent, IFF, we are in the mix to go to the playoffs.

    I believe they'll compete. neither are exciting, Eovaldi can eventually become a nice #5, but he needs a little more seasoning and would be perfect to slot in the bullpen for a year

    So there's a good chance we will run a starting rotation out there with Billingsly being the only Righty? A rotation with 4 Lefties?!!! WTF?

    I think Eveland was the better of the two so far and he's the lefty. This is weird.

    Tommy John surgery which in this day and age is no more than a procedure. Was it 5 each? I haven't seen details.

    Throw xFIP out the window for a player like him, he gives up a lot of home runs, that's never gonna change. The K/BB is nice, but so is Lilly's. He's essentially Ted Lilly, except he's also a hugh injury risk.

    Which is what I just said like 5 posts above, but Lilly's a solid pitcher, and again I dont quite get the gnashing of teeth on this signing.

    Because he's had 2 tommy john surgeries in his career, didn't pitch in 2008 and 2009, and threw 120 innings more in 2011 than 2010. If he stays healthy, he'll be worth it. But I'm pretty sure no one things that's a possibility.
