    Depends on when and how the salary is calculated for the tax. opening or closing day and prorated salaries after July. We might see nothing then either and if no one takes Kemp, next year is hampered.

    Nothing wrong with taking a flier on a guy, then again, he might get DFA'd next week if the 40-man spot is needed to accommodate a trade that doesn't involve a 40-man player going out.

    I agree I mean he did have a 2017 minors season with 16K's and only 1 walk so what the hell.

    It does mean something when it's coming off an injury, he's only 25 without a lot of innings on his arm albeit because he was hurt in 2016. Is he a difference maker definitely not but like I said why not. As to your 2nd point I agree it will be this way. Have to see what we have post Morrow on the roster.
