Speaking of the Giants, they’re losing their Rule 5 guy who was likely headed for the pen, but it looks like he needs TJ. Apparently was wild as shit, but hit triple digits pretty regularly.

Also, Mark Melancon is not recovering well from throwing on B2B days at the end of ST. Giants haven’t made a decision yet, but I’d like to say that pushing a dude fresh off major surgery and still owed a lot of money is a dumb fucking thing to do the first week of the season.

Andrew Tole’s has been optioned to AAA. Pederson and Kemp are expected to somewhat platoon in LF. Kyle Farmer has also made the team.

Joc and Farmer make it. Thinking Joc is temporary because I don't believe in him, hope I'm wrong.

The Dodgers don't have to 60 day anyone yet(Koehler and MAYBE Turner could be) I believe, but the Royals just DFA'd Kyle Zimmer. The former #5 overall pick could be one of those fixers that this FO covets so very much.

The Giants have placed Mark Melancon on the DL... for a team that was in desperate need of staying healthy this year, the Giants have started the season with a Bruce Lee kick to the balls.

Greg Holland signs a 1 year deal with the Cardinals. We will see how this works out, but man it seems like guys that sign extremely late in the spring never work out.

I would’ve liked Holland tbh. I guess the dodgers can’t spend the 14 mil on him and There’s some red flags with him but he’s better than Chargois and some other guys. And relievers still have an inflated price at the deadline. But I will give the FO the benefit of the doubt with bullpens I guess. Just feels like we need another right handed arm in the bullpen

$14M would kill the plan to stay under the tax threshold, so I totally understand. One thing about Holland is he was pretty unreliable the last two months of the season. His numbers in September were way better than they were in August, but the Rockies hardly used him down the stretch either out of fear, or because he was worn down. Not sure that he is a good risk to take this year. If he does have a good year, he will re-enter the market when the club has a lot of money to spend in a deep reliever free agency. I would not be surprised to see the Dodgers simply re-sign Kershaw and then load up on top flight relievers.

Camello is reporting that their is interest in Trayce Thompson and he is likely to be traded instead of passing through waivers.

Not surprised. Obviously he has been bad the past 2 years but he's shown flashes.

It would be hilarious if the FO pulls another rabbit out of the hat here. I would guess that they are looking for a spot starter/BP arm in the deal.

    That's Gibby? Kirk Gibson?
I though it read "Krub Shulr"... figured I just missed the guy during the flashback years.
