it makes no sense to use kershaw. They’re righty heavy and have two dangerous lefties that Kolarek/Urias can handle. I’d rather see Maeda, May, Kolarek, Jansen and Urias before I see Kershaw.
At least Lux has done something in this series. The vets like Seager, Bellinger, Pollock and Taylor haven't done jack shit. I think some of our rooks are also getting worked over by the umps doing that rookie initiation bullshit. Both Lux and Smith are known for having good eyes and the Nats are working them just off the plate to get some cheapo strikes early in the counts. So when they get them to two strikes they know they need to expand the zone. It's fucking horseshit. With that said, Freese needs to be in the lineup one way or another and since there is no chance they bench Seager, Lux is the guy that gets the seat in favor. I'd def start Beaty as well. The Nats do not know how to pitch him(apparently) and aren't working the back foot slider on him. Keep him in there as he was making some good contact in Washington.
I'm with you. I just can't take anymore of this Kershaw shit. I don't give a damn if the batter comes to the plate without a bat..he'll hit the guy and put him on. Fuck that guy. Sorry it had to be this way, but it is what it is. Amazing to feel this way in a sport where pitchers ( defense) beat hitters ( offense) the majority of the time. Kershaw has turned baseball philosophy upside down for me. I feel like Muncy should start @ 2B when Kershaw starts, so you know I'm desperate for offense
With that said, I see us going home after the Nats blow us out tomorrow. The Nationals have that look of knowing that they don't have pressure on them and we have been playing like a team with the weight of the world on their shoulders for a month+ now.
I like Lux as much as the next guy, and when he homered it was cool, but at the same time it was off Hunter Strickland's bum ass. Figuratively, he's faced that guy hundreds of times in the minors. Had no real expectations for Lux, surely didn't expect him to save this club. Sept call ups don't lead clubs. If they're starting Lux again it should be a clear sign that they're thinking future as opposed to present..which would be consistent because the FO added diddly doo to the club since the Sox raped them in the WS
and yet davey had him up last night getting ready shit like that leaves me certain of what's to come more stupid decisions and painful losses there is literally zero chance we can ever get a WS win w him as manager not happening
Bad luck on some bloop/broken bat shit and dumb defensive mistakes blow up a huge inning. Roberts takes out Buehler cause of it and the bullpen gets bombed.
You have no idea how hard I just laughed, thanks for that, brother What you have there feels 110% accurate. Fucked by the Doc to slam the door shut
I' ve been on this sight for a pretty long time, I would say. I've heard and read the cry for rookies and saviors each year, and they're all up now...every one of them. It was why play the old guys when we have so much young talent ? For a long time. Now we play the rookies, and are asking to play the old guys...the vets. A 180° from the very recent past. Imo, I don't think they really know what to do...year after year. We've.had the players, the talent, the money, for a long time, too. We just don't get the right person to use them the right way. For a long time. Guess the law of averages doesn't apply to the Dodgers. We never seem to learn from the legacy of failure we have vehemently adhered to. For a long time.
Saw that stat too, and it really only makes me feel like he's due to balance it out and add another degree to his blackbelt in choking. Remember, he finally introduced us to the art of multi-HBP this series, so perhaps we need to buckle up for somethin new..again
