lol at&t just showed a postseason commercial and who do they show the cubs (eliminated), the indians (down 2-0) and the braves (down 2-0) nice forecasting just glad they didn't show us
Marquez has settled in now. If the Rockies can find a way to slide a couple across, they could pull this one out. Their offense is a mess right now though and has a ton of fucking holes with Story and Arrenado swinging out of their asses. Thought about trying to go to the game today, but it is too damn cold. This day last year was like 88 or something like that. Naturally we've had 80's through the last couple of Octobers and when the Rockies finally make the playoffs, we have our coldest Fall in a good long while.
Word is that he is REALLY hurt, but these last two playoffs have done him no favors in the "clutch" category. Not sure this dude is any sort of a team leader from the couple of outbursts that I have seen. Fucker literally said this year, "I am fucking tired of losing", so how does he respond? By blowing massive dick at the plate in the playoffs. If I am the Rockies, I still try to resign him to a long term deal this offseason, but if he refuses, they need to move him. Boston would probably be all over him.
file under "yeah, how's that working out for you"... "We have a lot of confidence moving forward at home where we're all very comfortable hitting and pitching," Rockies second baseman DJ LeMahieu said.
What is really funny is that if the Rockies lose tonight(or win for that matter), the only thing this town will be talking about tomorrow is how the Broncos coach should be fired and whether or not John Elway should be shown the door as well.
(Comimg out of commercial) "Coors Field is 5,280 feet above sea level. But the spirits of Denver sports is anything but mile high right now" I bet you feel real freaking clever, don't you Costas ...
I enjoy this shit, thoroughly. The sports fans in this town are so pompous and full of themselves(and I am sure that line is going to piss off a lot of fans). I can't tell you how many Rockies fans I have had tell me that if they had won against the D'Backs last year, they woulda destroyed us in the NLDS. Still want them to at least tire out the Brewers pen a little bit, but this would also be a nice way to shut everyone up. The Buffs bandwagon is gonna get a little company this next week.
Rockies laying down. All this talk about confidence going home, and they still can’t get anything done.
He probably really is tired of losing. It's not like the ROX are a lock to get back to the post or have been a lock in the past. He has to know that there's a solid chance that they may not get back to the post while he's there..sort of similar to Machado/Baltimore. You don't find a lot of guys like Votto, that are just cool with losing every year and never voice frustration
I have zero sympathy for the Rockies. We tried to let them know they have no hope when we swept them at Dodger Stadium. They didn't get the message. We reiterated that point when we beat their ass in game 163. They still had the nerve to continue on. And now, they're experiencing heartbreak. If they just would've listened to us...
wheels have come completely off for the rox would have been nice to at least win a game against the brewers so now we need to close out as well against an inferior team
